This is the only thing I could find on the Greencastle Goat.  Wonder if it was like the keg we had that passed around - oh gracious

On the other side of Dr. Stroube’s card to the Herald: A group picture of Coach Clodfelter and his squad of Putnam County Tournament Champs. The players are centered around a regular, real, live goat and under the picture in brave, bold lettering are the words: Greencastle’s Goat!”

Must be the Greencastle team, winner of the 1922 tourney ?

Coach Rhea, of GHS has received a post card picture of the Roachdale HS basket ball squad and coach. In the center of the group is a real “for sure,” Billy Goat wearing a banner on which is printed, “Greencastle’s Goat.”  Don’t be too jubilant, Roachdale. There is a Sectional Tourney, yet.

So sounds like Roachdale won and I guess the Roachdale boys must have "gotten Greencastle's Goat," so to speak - how they got that there would not be easy in that time frame.  WOW
